MOPPA KO’S MURCUTT ON SUPERFIGHT

KAO SOK’s Alex “MOPPA” JAMES won by third round ko in his exciting battle with Cameron MURCUTT from MACH 1 GYM.

MURCUTT came out aggressively and pressured “MOPPA” with powerful punches but “MOPPA” remained composed and countered with strong punches and kicks of his own, in this K1 RULES fight. “MOPPA” landed many hard head kicks on the super tough MURCUTT, most of which would have stopped most other opponents, but MURCUTT  just kept on rallying back with hard punches, but he could not penetrate “MOPPA’s” rock solid guard.

In the third round “MOPPA’s” devastating leg kicks began to take their toll on MURCUTT with MURCUTT having two eight counts scored against him before “MOPPA” finally finished him with a hard right KO  punch.

“BRADO REDZONE” NORTH THAILAND CHAMPION

KAO  SOK’s pioneer fighter Brad “REDZONE” RUSSELL won the NORTH THAILAND OPEN WEIGHT TITLE in CHIANG MAI on the 3rd August 2011. “BRADO” ko’d his opponent, the very strong and experienced THAI YOKDAM, with a series of hard, well timed punches in the first found. This victory earned him a write up in the famous THAILAND MAGAZINE, SIAM SPORT!

“BRADO” was the first fighter to fight out of KAO SOK gym, way back in 1998. After a few wins and what looked like the start of a very promising future in the sport, “BRADO” left for work in the North West of WA. After a ten year absence from the sport, he travelled to THAILAND on his r & r and began to train MUAY THAI again in THAILAND. He then racked up a few fights over there and came back to his roots at KAO SOK GYM, trained with us and then fought on a DOMINATION DEVELOPMENT DAY show in 2010, scoring a ko victory.

BRADO then returned to THAILAND and worked his way up to the title shot by disposing of the best NORTHERN THAILAND had to offer, before taking the NORTHERN THAILAND strap. “BRADO” should be proud of what he has done as we at KAO SOK certainly are. BRADO plans to continue his recent dominance of the ring and we all are looking forward to him making his mark on the AUSTRALIAN fight scene and taking no prisoners.

MIXED RESULTS FOR KAO SOK FIGHTERS

KAO SOK fighters had mixed results on Domination Development Day 6TH August 2011.

Brett “7/11” LANGLANDS  got our team off to a good start with a unanimous points victory over Brad BEATIELL from the THAI BOXING PIT. “7/11’s” superior hands, power & work rate was a telling factor in his victory, as was his footwork & aggressiveness, which made things hard for BEATIELL. This was a very impressive return to the ring for “7/11” who has a big future in the sport.

Jordan “CARTMAN” WEIR continued where he finished in his last fight, coming out very hard and immediately applying great pressure to his opponent Brendan DUROSIELLE from RIDDLERS GYM, rattling DUROSIELLE with a well timed head kick. Rounds one and two seemed to be very even but “CARTMAN” began to tire in the third round due to a interrupted preparation with an ankle injury. DUROSIELLE took the third round which secured him a points victory. “CARTMAN” is looking forward to a rematch in the future when his preparation hopefully will be better.

Matt “KAOS” KING continued his winning run with a unanimous points victory over Kyle VANDONGAN from ANVIL GYM. ”KAOS” controlled the fight from the outset, once again sending the message that he is a force to be reckoned with.

“HP” Kao Sok took on the very strong Brett “BCW” Craine-White from the THAI BOXING PIT,  “HP” took a hard knee to the body which he could not recover from. “BCW” is a young man with huge potential, already having travelled to Poland to take on WORLD CHAMPION Tomasz MAKOWSKI and putting up a good showing against the very experienced Polish fighter.

SPRING HEELED KAOS WINS AGAIN

KAO SOK’s Matt “KAOS” KING continued his dominant form to easily defeat Michael KERR (MACH 1) in his latest battle on the IGNITION promotion Sunday 10th July in Morley.

“KAOS” began the fight slowly and took until the 2nd round to hit his straps, but from then on dominated the fight with strong clinching and hard knees and good use of the push kick.

After some words from his corner, “KAOS” exploded into top form in the 3rd round, using an array of technique and relentless pressure to completely overwhelm his opponent. His use of the jumping knee delighted the crowd as he scored a unanimous points victory and continued winning form from KAO SOK fighters.
